Industrial precision that serves artisanal know-how.

The mission and vision of Atelier Sachet
Atelier Sachet was born from a simple idea: combining industrial precision with artisanal expertise. Passionate about straw marquetry and inspired by master craftsmen, Gaëtan Sachet developed a unique machine capable of flattening rye straw with perfect regularity, while preserving the delicate nature of the fiber. Every batch we ship is the result of discreet yet decisive innovation, designed to free up craftsmen's time and allow them to focus on what truly matters: the art of straw marquetry.
From our workshop in France, we work hand in hand with marquetry artists, cabinetmakers, and designers across Europe. Our commitment is clear: to offer impeccable quality, quickly and reliably, in support of the arts and to showcase the timeless beauty of rye straw. At Atelier Sachet, every fiber matters, and every order is a promise of consistency, respect for the material, and elegance in execution

Future
The first version of the machine allowed the mechanization of the process: splitting and then flattening rye straw, while maintaining the artisanal quality required for marquetry.
The second version focused on adapting to the different natural variations of rye straw. The objective is to guarantee regular straw flexibility regardless of reference, thickness or stiffness.
All future versions will have the same objective: to save marketers time. We are already thinking about functionalities such as the automatic cutting of straw using an edging system.
The third version (under development) will further reduce costs for the customer. This version will incorporate a new feature that automates the insertion of straws into the machine.
